Japan Communications Inc. (JCI, TSE Prime: 9424) is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors appointed Mr. Ichiro Ando, who was previously serving as Representative Director and Vice President of my FinTech Inc., as a member of the Management Board (shikko-yakuin) of JCI
Since joining JCI in 2020, Ichiro Ando has led the acquisition of certification under the Digital Signature Act and the promotion of the FPoS business at my FinTech Inc., a consolidated subsidiary that promotes FPoS, JCI's patented technology. As JCI grows its business, including interconnection with DOCOMO's voice and SMS networks, it has appointed Ichiro Ando, who is well versed in FPoS, as the executive officer in charge of corporate planning.
Ichiro Ando began his career at Canon after graduating from university. After studying in the U.S., he worked at a strategy consulting firm and was engaged in management in a wide range of areas, and has management experience at B2B and B2C, Japanese and foreign-affiliated companies, including large corporations and startups. Based on the basic theme of the evolution of business model, he has pursued the enhancement of corporate value while addressing a wide range of management issues, from company-wide strategy formulation to operational transformation. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hitotsubashi University and an MBA from Dartmouth College Amos Tuck School.
