JCI Signs MOU with Taiwan‘s Taisys on Decentralized Mobile ID

Japan Communications Inc. (TSE Prime: 9424; hereinafter referred to as "JCI") is pleased to announce that on March 3, 2026 (local time), at Mobile World Congress 2026, one of the world's largest mobile industry exhibitions, held in Barcelona, JCI signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Taisys Technologies Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan; CEO: Jason Ho; hereinafter referred to as "Taisys") regarding the utilization of dMID (decentralized Mobile ID) technology.

dMID (decentralized Mobile ID) refers to a mobile-based identity framework that differs from conventional IDs centrally issued and managed by governments or IT platform providers. Instead, it enables individuals to manage their own digital identities by leveraging distributed technologies such as blockchain, in which data is stored and managed across computers and servers around the world.

Under this MOU, Taisys and JCI will work toward realizing new authentication services in the Japanese market by integrating Taisys’s dMID platform and eSIM-related technologies with JCI’s FPoS authentication infrastructure and Neo-Carrier authentication platform.
