Japan Communications Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "JCI") is pleased to announce that the service for financial institutions, provided in partnership with Chigin Network Service Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CNS"), will begin on April 1.
JCI previously announced on October 29, 2025 an agreement with CNS to provide the "Identity Verification Service (Joint Supported Version)" – Utilizing FPoS library to support financial institutions' identity verification operations. As announced at that time, a development version of the Service began in October 2025, with the commercial version scheduled to be provided to financial institutions from April 2026 onwards as planned.
The "Identity Verification Service (Joint Supported Version)" that JCI provides to regional banks and other financial institutions offers two methods:
- (1) Embedding the FPoS library (identity verification tool SDK) into the financial institution's app
- (2) Linking the financial institution's website with the FPoS library (identity verification app)
Preparations for method (2) — Linking the financial institution's website with the FPoS library (identity verification app) — are now complete, and financial institutions are scheduled to begin using the identity verification app (named: Ninsho Kyotsu App) from April 1, 2026.
The Ninsho Kyotsu App enables safe and highly convenient identity verification either by scanning a QR code displayed in a PC browser, or through linkage between a smartphone browser and the app.
With respect to method (1) — Embedding the FPoS library (identity verification tool SDK) into the financial institution's app — individual financial institutions are completing their preparations, and rollout is scheduled to begin on a rolling basis.
