Japan Communications Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "JCI") is pleased to announce that it will provide the "FPoS library" as a digital authentication infrastructure for identity verification on the integrated platform for foreign residents in Japan (hereinafter referred to as "the Platform") announced by NyuuLy K.K. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Co-founder and CEO: Kenji Gowers, hereinafter referred to as "NyuuLy") on April 7, 2026.
On the Platform, NyuuLy aims to become the digital infrastructure for foreign residents in Japan by delivering an integrated suite of services: "NyuuLy Mobile," which provides mobile connectivity available from the moment of arrival in Japan; "NyuuLy Compass" and "AskMe," which offer guidance and support for administrative procedures as living situations and life stages evolve; and "Work Japan," a multilingual job platform with over 50,000 monthly users.
JCI will provide the "FPoS library" as the authentication infrastructure for NyuuLy Key — the Platform's digital ID — contributing to the realization of highly reliable identity verification and authentication on the Platform, as well as a secure and seamless experience for users across all of the above services.
JCI continues to advance the deployment of FPoS-based digital authentication infrastructure, and this initiative represents a new use case in the service domain for foreign residents in Japan. Going forward, JCI will remain committed to its mission of carrying bit in safety and security, contributing to society through its services and products, and working toward the building of a sustainable digital society and the enhancement of corporate value.
Naohisa Fukuda, Representative Director-President and CEO of JCI, commented as follows:
"NyuuLy is working to deliver a wide range of services to help foreign nationals coming to Japan for work or study get their lives here off to a smooth start. FPoS, which ensures both identity and authenticity, serves as the gateway to that experience. We look forward to seeing NyuuLy's services expand broadly and deepen — from mobile connectivity to bank account opening, residential lease and purchase agreements, and beyond."
