Japan Communications Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "JCI") is pleased to announce that on July 27, 2026, it entered into an interconnection agreement with NTT DOCOMO, Inc. (“DOCOMO”) regarding interconnection with DOCOMO’s voice and SMS networks (“Agreement”).
This Agreement is entered into between JCI and DOCOMO as a formal agreement document upon connecting JCI’s core network with the base station equipment provided by DOCOMO, after the completion of various equipment installation works and interconnection tests (verification tests conducted using the actual operational equipment to confirm the normality, etc. of communications between the operators).
As disclosed on November 6, 2025, in the “(Update on disclosed matter) Announcement of change of launch date of new services based on voice and SMS interconnection with NTT DOCOMO, INC.”, JCI plans to launch new services based on interconnection with DOCOMO’s voice and SMS networks on November 24, 2026.
