■ Comments from Representatives of Both Companies
Koichi Yokoyama, Representative Director and CEO (Certified Public Accountant / Licensed Tax Accountant), paperlogic Co., Ltd.
"For our company, which has approached corporate governance and risk management from the perspective of a certified public accountant, this collaboration with the JCI Group’s outstanding FPoS technology represents the fulfillment of our long-cherished goal. It fundamentally overturns the challenge that has plagued conventional electronic contracts — convenient, but with remaining legal risk — and provides true ‘paperless’ operation and reliable trust in full compliance with the Digital Signature Act, the Electronic Books Preservation Act, and the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds (Japan’s anti-money laundering law). Together, we will open a future in which companies can confidently advance their digitalization."
Naohisa Fukuda, Representative Director-President and CEO, Japan Communications Inc.
"A safe and secure digital ID platform using the smartphone will become a foundational infrastructure for society going forward. Through this powerful partnership with paperlogic, we are confident that anyone will be able to transact safely and conveniently with just a single smartphone, not only in finance and government services but across every kind of business context."
