Japan Communications Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "JCI") is pleased to announce that the "FPoS library" will be used in the life-ending platform "SouSou" 's "SouSou ID" provided by SouSou, Inc. (Head office: Arakawa-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kusaka Kazusa). We believe that FPoS can contribute to venture companies creating new services by ensuring that "identity verification is performed reliably and assure that the person is definitely that person when authenticated."
The FPoS library ensures identity verification, which is one of the strengths of FPoS. For example, when authenticating a person when logging into the system, it can be authenticated that the person is definitely the person in question. In addition, by linking data belonging to individuals across businesses only based on the individual's will, each individual can enjoy services optimized for themselves. This authentication platform with a new paradigm makes it possible to provide these strengths as a company (region) ID.
"SouSou" is a digital platform that uses the characteristics of digital technology to connect the feelings of "those who leave behind (the deceased)" and "those who are left behind (family and friends)" to create a new ending experience. The FPoS library is scheduled to be implemented in the iOS and Android apps, which will be released around December 2024.
The reasons why "SouSou" adopted the FPoS library are as follows.
- It is the only system in Japan that can issue certified electronic certificates based on smartphones.
- Compared to JPKI, it has a price advantage, which reduces the costs incurred in introducing and operating applications.
- It has already been introduced in several municipalities, including Maebashi City in Gunma Prefecture.
- The FPoS library can create certified electronic certificates in your own apps, and a secure ID can be used as your own ID.
- It has a plan for data linkage across multiple businesses in the future. It is expected that data linkage will occur with other private collaborating companies.
