JCI launches OKAWARI SIM 5 Stage flat plan from 500 yen to 1500 yen
Japan Communications Inc. (hereafter referred to as JCI, Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo) will be releasing the new “b-mobile Okawari SIM 5 Stage Flat Plan” (Okawari SIM) on June 10th.
*Okawari in Japanese means “refill please!”
Okawari SIM gives you 1GB of high speed LTE communication at an affordable price of 500 yen (excluding tax, all prices listed hereafter are exclusive of tax) per month. In addition, this product has a 1,500 yen limit to prevent you from “over indulging”.
Okawari SIM frees you from having to choose your plans beforehand as it will automatically slide from 1GB to 5GB according to your usage. Each additional GB after the first 1GB is at a “delicious” 250 yen.
After consuming a maximum of 5GB, your plan automatically trims down to maximum of 200kbps free plan.
Carriers provide flat rate plans for customers who are worried about how much they will be charged if given unlimited data usage. In addition a customer’s actual data usage fluctuates month by month. As a result, a customer will not choose a data plan based on the minimum usage threshold but tends to select and pay for a plan that consistently has excess data for “safety” that remains unused.
The Okawari SIM eliminates this extra data that is for security sake, hidden in the flat rate plans from other carriers.
If you are looking for an “All You Can Eat” plan, we recommend our “High-Speed unlimited b-mobile SIM” plan. (Announced: December 8th, 2014)
We at JCI will strive to create services that satisfy our customers so that they continue to say “Okawari!”

※The written data transmission speed is on a best effort basis and are not the actual transmission speed.
